At Patrick Taleb Salon, we get a lot of clients asking for a solution to limp, lifeless hair. We know this is a common problem in both women and men, so we wanted to give our readers a few tips and techniques to bring your hair back to life!
- Oil is the number one cause of limp hair. It’s important to minimize oil by using products that contain astringents such as rosemary, orange extract or tea tree oil. These will reduce the amount of sebum on your scalp. Washing daily will also help, but skip on the conditioner every other day. Unless you have very dry hair, just use a drop on the ends.
- Volumizing sprays do wonders for limp hair. Spray a bit on your roots while your hair is still damp. Then flip your hair upside down while blow-drying. Ask your stylist which volumizing spray would be right for you.
- To maintain your look throughout the day, you can utilize a dry shampoo. Dry shampoo will absorb oil and create volume.
- For curly or wavy volume, utilize a spray gel on dry hair from the middle to the ends. Comb it through and then use a 1 ½” curling iron to create waves. The gel will give your hair grip to hold the curls. Finish with a strong-hold hairspray.
Consult with your Patrick Taleb stylist to find out which products will work best with your hair type.
