At Patrick Taleb Salon, we want to give you some tips and tricks to keep your hair color looking radiant all year long. We know the feeling of loving your hair color moments after you leave the salon. However, all the blowing, brushing and styling that you do take a toll on your hair color and leave it looking dull after only a few weeks. By following this advice, you can extend the life of your hair color while saving a few bucks in your wallet.
- If you can, wash less frequently. Shampooing hair often not only washes your hair, it also washes out your color. Skip a shampoo here and there when you can. Also, try to wait 24 hours after your color treatment to wash for the first time
- When you do lather up, try to use a color depositing shampoo and conditioner. These specially formulated products contain small amounts of semi-permanent hair coloring which will keep your color looking fresh.
- If you are a swimmer, you know all too well that chlorine can strip your hair of its color. Make sure to always protect your hair, whether in the pool or under the sun by wearing a swim cap and/or using hair products that contain sunscreen.
- Excess heat styling can make your color fade. Remember to always use a heat protection spray before you curl, iron or blow-dry your hair.
Protecting your hair color investment is easy when following these tips.
